Agriculture and Environment policiesPart of the World Preservation Party’s mission is to conserve the environment to the best of our abilities. We would like each member of the world to contribute to the preservation of the forests and wildlife and to do our best to keep the world’s natural resources plentiful. We support farmers and would like to see farming families sustain a living on farming alone without using steroids, antibiotics, pesticides and other chemicals that effect the nutrients provide by produce and meats.

Our plan is to implement Arbor Day, a day in which there is a worldwide, massive tree planting initiative. We will use scattered locations throughout national parks to plant and harvest trees which can be used for future needs. The goal will be to replace what is being used and to end the destruction of the rain forests in South America. We would seek to involve as many countries as possible.

Another issue that we are facing today is the supply of natural water. Currently, healthy water sources are used for all purposes. Upon its depletion, will we need to use unhealthy water sources? We propose that each home and business has two water sources – one for drinking and cooking and one used for watering lawns, plumbing, etc… We will also implement a system to recycle waste water.

Today, most farmers must hold second jobs. We want farmers to be established enough so that a family can make a living on farming alone. Eliminating “mega” livestock farms and adding more livestock to family ran farms can help decrease the use of growth hormones. An environment agency will be involved to prevent erosion and other problems that are tied to the use of pesticides. Additional schooling will be provided to farmers that will help them learn soil testing, climate needs and other training.  Farmers will also undertake the preservation of endangered animals where the environment provides. The education and resources necessary to do so, will be provided.

Farmland is being consumed by housing and commercial use – this needs to stop. People should be rebuilding on existing sites by removing houses and buildings that are no longer useful or habitable. Some of the best farmland is being used and we should be preserving our land.
