Creating Mexico as a U.S. territory through a U.S. voting process and a Mexico voting process will allow Mexico to have some power in Congress. At the same time, this will allow Mexico to keep its identity as a sovereign country. This would be the first step in determining whether or not Mexico would remain a territory or become a state.

Allowing Mexico to become a U.S territory would make the economy stronger for Mexico, you will remain a sovereign nation with delegates. This would also allow easier travel from Mexico to the U.S. and vice versa.

As a territory, Mexico and the United States would work together to build security agencies to help control drug trafficking and illegal immigrants from crossing the border. This would also make it unnecessary to build  any walls and would also make border security more controllable.

We cannot be mad at those who are seeking a better life. Yes, if we tried years ago, we could have prevented or reduced the amount of immigration to the U.S. However, this is a fairly new initiative and concern. Instead of investing tons of money into increasing border control and preventing immigrants from entering the country; let’s invest money into those countries. We believe that every country should offer its people a “better life”. If we could figure out why exactly people are leaving their home countries, we could try to improve those conditions and make them more appealing to live and raise families.

The key to success will be to get some Latinos into politics to help provide the proper insight and guidance for immigration. An organization should be created to represent the Latino population. The organization must be in favor or reducing illegal immigration. Also, they must be in favor of eliminating citizenship from children of illegal immigrants, born in the U.S. However, citizenship can be granted to these children if they graduate high school without getting into any legal trouble. Any brush with the law within 15-20 years of birth will lead to deportation.  The same rule will apply to their parents.  I believe that citizenship should be granted immediately on a temporary basis, contingent on behavior. As long as behavior is good and in line with societal rules, citizenship will be permanent; on the other hand, citizenship can also be revoked for negative behavior.

I also believe that we must have more American Latinos in the military, it will provide our country support with language barriers and cultural understandings. As a result, these military members can help train militaries from Latin countries, with an understanding of how a successful military operates – with organization, decent pay, excellent training and minimal corruption. This will be a helpful tool that can be passed on through the proper training and education.

It is important that employers stop taking advantage of illegal immigrants. Currently, many illegal immigrants are underpaid; this should be prevented. Those deserving should be granted citizenship and treated fairly in this country. Those that are not productive members of society should be deported— but things should be done fairly.  If criminal acts are committed by an illegal immigrant while in the United States, that individual should be deported or considered for the death penalty. This would discourage criminals from crossing the border.

We cannot embrace illegal acts such as illegal immigration but there must be a way for us to help. We need to make other countries better and help give their citizens the appropriate education and training to improve conditions. If feasible, we should build American cities in South America where land can be peacefully acquired with approval from those countries involved. We can improve the surrounding areas by building and providing additional educational facilities, military training and other tools for growth.

Another perspective, immigration may be a form of divine intervention since most Hispanics/Latinos embrace Catholicism or another form of Christianity. It may be God’s way of replenishing Catholics in America since the Catholic Church has been on the decline for years
